The Greater Vancouver REALTORS® (GVR) is the professional association of the more than 15,000 Realtors in Greater Vancouver and the more than 500 real estate offices. Founded in 1919, GVR provides a variety of products and services to its members, including the Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®), research and statistics, education and training, professional standards and arbitration services, public and media relations, government advocacy and more.
The organization changed its name and brand from the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver to the Greater Vancouver REALTORS® in February of this year. With this change, they also developed a new mission to “lead innovation and professionalism in real estate.”
Join us as GVR’s VP of Communication and Events, Craig Munn and VP of Business Innovations, Kat Newel share the strategy and journey behind their recent re-brand and walk you through the actions the organization intends to take to achieve its new mission.
Craig Munn
Prior to joining GVR, Craig was the Press and Public Affairs Officer at the British Consulate General in Vancouver and a reporter for a variety of community newspapers in the Lower Mainland.
As VP of Communication and Events at GVR, Craig’s department is responsible for internal and external communication, media relations, public outreach, social media, content strategy, issues management, event planning and execution and stakeholder engagement.
Kat Newel
Kat has an extensive background in IT and business process consulting. She has worked with cloud-based software service organizations as well as IBM and ICBC in senior product development and executive roles.
As VP of Business Innovation at GVR, Kat is responsible for planning, direction, product development, and management of all activities related to the expansion and marketing of GVR's Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®) and its related services, tools, and products for REALTORS®.

Eligibility for Attendance: The "B.C. Strata Tech" event is open to the public and is free to attend.
Mode of Event: The event will be conducted solely online and attendees are required to register in order to access the live event and any recorded material thereafter.
Disclaimer of Liability: The participating service companies and industry experts shall not be held responsible for any claims made with respect to their products or for any inaccuracies or errors contained in their respective topic segments.
Newsletter Subscription: Upon registering for the "B.C. Strata Tech" event, attendees shall be subscribed to receive newsletters from the event organizers. Attendees shall have the right to unsubscribe from receiving said newsletters at any time.
Collection of Personal Information: Property Flute Ltd shall collect the email address and any additional information provided by attendees during the registration process for the "B.C. Strata Tech" event.
Use of Personal Information: The collected personal information shall be used for the purpose of delivering "B.C. Strata Tech" newsletters to the attendees.
Confidentiality of Personal Information: Property Flute Ltd shall take all reasonable measures to protect the confidentiality and security of the personal information collected from attendees.
Limitation of Liability: To the extent permitted by law, Property Flute Ltd and "B.C. Strata Tech" shall not be held liable for any breach of the user data collected during the registration process.
Right to Unsubscribe: Attendees shall have the right to unsubscribe from receiving "B.C. Strata Tech" newsletters at any time.
Changes to Terms and Privacy Policy: Property Flute Ltd reserves the right to modify or update the Terms of Event and Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice to the attendees. Continued attendance at the event constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
